This is a condensed 4 week workshop.
We will study basic faux finishes, three dimensional designs in grisaille; gilding techniques; registration of designs for friezes , wallpapers and textiles; trompe l'oeil moldings and essential mural painting techniques.
4 hours per day hands-on instruction will be supplemented by optional visits to Medici Villas and Gardens close to Florence as well as the uffizi Gallery and Pitti Palace.
This is truly a valuable experience in that the city of Florence is at your feet.
Rome is 1 ½ hrs away by train and Siena and Lucca ( site of magnificient 17th and 18th century Villas and gardens)
are even closer.

We supply basic materials. Plan on spending up to 100 Euro for extra materials per course
